new blog!

I am excited to announce the launch of my new blog! I have been wanting to get a new one for quite a while now, because blogger just doesn't do everything I want and I have been having issues lately. So it pushed me to finally make the move! So with that being said, please update your browsers to http://ashleya.net/blog. Thank you to everyone for all of the amazing support you have shown me over the past year and a half!

a couple things to share

I wanted to share a couple images from this past weekend. Saturday, I met with the Coe family and got this shot of the 6 kids/grand kids in the family. Aren't they adorable? I most certainly think so! (More to come on them later) I loved all of the outfit colors in this shot, and the kids all had a personality of their own!

On Sunday, the colors outside were just breathtaking and the sun was enormous! This is the farm ground next to our home which my brother, Brandon, was drilling beans in.

Happy Monday everyone!

ketcham-ripley funeral home is live :: web site design

I have very exciting news to share! I have been working on a web site design for Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio and it has been completed! Upon entering the site you can read about the funeral home, the services it provides, current obituaries, leave your condolence on a specific obituary (even upload an image of that person), read about grief support in the area, and fill out a pre-planning form to be contacted. Also, if you are staying in the area there is a list on the "helpful links" page with different area amenities.

I have had a wonderful time working on this with Marcia (Owner & Funeral Director). She is a very special person to me and for her to love the new web site means the world to me!

See what Marcia has to say:

"What a wonderful web site Ashley has created for Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home! I am so very pleased with it. She has used her creative expertise to produce a very user friendly site for the communities which surround us. It's not only easy to use, but has so much information on it, including the obituaries for this year, so that you can easily check our site for information on those deceased who will be at our funeral home. There is a movie to show our facilities and the options which are available to you, and information on not only at-need arrangements, but a form which can be filled out if you would like to pre-arrange your own funeral or someone else's and send the information on to us."

"This is a beautiful site, created by Ashley for all our people to use. Just one more way in which we at Ketcham-Ripley are accommodating your needs."

Thank you Marcia, for this wonderful opportunity! I know you will enjoy this for years to come!

five generations

Jackie (top left) contacted me to take a family shot of the five generations existing in her family. I always think this is sooo neat when families capture this special time in life.

Below is an image of all the beautiful ladies.

bentlee :: ohio newborn photography

Recently I got together with Kylee & Luke at their home to take some shots of their new little joy, Bentlee. Bentlee was a little angel the whole entire time, and would not go to sleep for anything! He obviously didn't want to miss out on the action. It was so hard for me to choose which shots I wanted to put on the blog, so needless to say this post is somewhat larger than most. I loved so many of them! I also took some family shots, and in these images you can see just how much these proud parents are in love with their little guy.

Please enjoy "some" of my favorite images from the shoot.

Ky, you are so pretty!

Thank you guys so much for allowing me to be a part of this new beginning of your life! I wish you the best with your new little bundle of love!

teaser of baby bentlee

I wanted to post a little teaser from Bentlee's newborn session, which I shot this past weekend. I literally had to "eenie, meenie, miny, moe" between the images because I could not pick a favorite. Stay tuned for a full blog post of this little bitty handsome man!

spring is here!

I am so glad for this upcoming warm weather. Although it is has been a little chilly the past couple of days here in northwestern Ohio, I look at these pictures (that have been sitting on my hard drive) and get warm feelings! There is just something about these beautiful colors that make me very happy inside. Not to mention the flowering of the trees the first couple of weeks.

Most people hate dandelions and want to mow over them right away, as I am saying "No, don't touch them yet, I need to take pictures." I really like a nice field of them, because they are so sweet and delicate. This was also Mylee's first encounter with dandelions, and she couldn't have been more cute. Her little mouth was as yellow as yellow could be from eating and sniffing them all day when I took these shots.

I really love this image for some reason; very serene feeling..

Last but not least my little pride and joy! :0) See what I mean about yellow mouth?

ba :: ffa awards banquet

Brandon had his FFA awards banquet last week and I just happened to take a couple shots. All through High School I had never been to an FFA banquet, so I wanted to see what it was all about! Here are a few images from the event.

Getting some awards!

zach :: ohio senior photography

This is Zach, a Parkway High School senior this year. He plays baseball and football which you will see reflecting in his images. Zach was telling me during his shoot that he has been accepted in to OSU, which I thought was awesome!!!! Congrats, Zach, on your senior year and I wish you all the best! I would love to see you become a college Buckeye! (as I'm sure your parents would!)

Enjoy a few images from Zach's senior session.

The amazing light was just perfect to allow me to get this vintage looking shot!

One of my faves! Again with the yummy light!
